LuphiTouch Customizing Outdoor Waterproof Membrane Switches meet IP655/NEMA-4/IP67
The membrane witch is the interface between human and machine. So keep the membrane switch under good working condition, make the circuit of the membrane switch not be corroded by wet air, rain or even directly water becomes very important for the outdoor machine's and equipment's membrane switches.
To design a waterproof gasket frame on back side of the membrane switch to make the circuit packs be enwrapped in which can prevent the water penetrating in. The back side of the keypad and gasket must be on a same water level so that the keypad can be sticked on the installation plate surface of the equipments, machines or other devices.
In order to get more reliability performance for outdoor membrane switches, except for using waterproof gasket design, it is also a more better solution to use copper FPC circuit or rigid PCB circuit. Both copper FPC circuit and rigid PCB circuit have more better reliability performance then the silver printed PET circuit.
So for most of customers they will combine the waterproof structure and using copper FPC or rigid PCB circuit together when they plan to design a membrane switch product for their outdoor applicatin dvice. Of course, sometimes our customers don't have such kind of experiences, then they also asked us to help them to design.
