After the air purifier panel is installed, it needs to undergo a systematic test to identify potential problems and ensure that the equipment functions normally, runs stably, and is safe and reliable. The following is a step-by-step testing process and key points of inspection:

I. Basic Functionality Testing

1、Power and Startup Check

Operation: Connect the power supply, press the power-on button, and observe whether the device starts up normally without any abnormal noise or vibration.


Investigation Points: If the device does not respond, check if the power cord is firmly plugged in and whether the connection between the panel and the main unit is loose (if it involves circuit connections). Listen for a "click" sound (for snap-in panels) or magnetic suction sound (for magnetically attached panels) to confirm that the panel is securely fixed.


2、Mode switching and wind speed adjustment

Operation: Switch modes in sequence, such as Auto, Sleep, Powerful, etc. Adjust the wind speed to low, medium, and high levels, and observe if the device responds quickly.


Investigation Points: 

Touch Panel: Light touch buttons or slide adjustments, confirm no delay, stuttering, or false triggering. 

Physical Buttons: Press and release are smooth, without jamming or looseness. 

Display Screen: Synchronously display the current mode and wind speed, with values consistent with the actual gear settings.


3、Scheduled and Child Lock Functions

Operation: Set a scheduled shutdown (e.g., turn off after 2 hours), enable the child lock function (long press for 2 seconds to lock), and try operating the control panel to verify if it has become inoperable.


Investigation Points: 

Scheduled Function: The equipment automatically stops running after reaching the set time. Child Lock: During locking, buttons do not respond; after unlocking, functions return to normal.


II. Performance and Safety Testing

1、Air Quality Monitoring and Purification Effectiveness

Operation: Light a cigarette or spray perfume inside the confined space to create pollutants, observe whether the equipment automatically switches to the strong mode. Use a professional detector (such as a PM2.5 detector) to compare air quality data before and after purification, or check the numerical changes on the panel display.


Investigation Points: Sensor Sensitivity: Whether the device responds and adjusts wind speed within 10 seconds when pollutant concentration increases. Purification Efficiency: Whether PM2.5, formaldehyde, and other values continuously decrease to a safe range (e.g., PM2.5 ≤ 35 μg/m³).


2、Sealability and Airflow Test

Procedure: Run the device for 10 minutes, and feel around the edge of the panel and the gap between it and the main unit to see if there is any air leakage. Check if the intake grille is unobstructed and whether the filter installation indicator light is functioning properly (e.g., filter life reminder feature).


Investigation Points: Sealedness: There is no air leakage between the panel and the main unit, especially check whether the sealing ring of the ultraviolet sterilization model is intact. Airflow Distribution: The wind volume at the outlet is uniform, without local weakening or abnormal noise.


3、 Safety Protection Mechanism

Operation: Simulated UV Leak Test (for models with UV function only): Use a UV intensity detection card to press against the panel gap, observe if it changes color. Tilt or move the device (if there are casters at the bottom), check if the panel is loose or detached due to vibration.


Investigation Points: Ultraviolet Protection: The detection card shows no color change, confirming that the seal ring effectively blocks ultraviolet leakage. Structural Stability: The panel is securely connected to the main unit, with no abnormal sounds or displacement caused by vibration.


III. Environmental Adaptability Test

1、High Temperature/High Humidity Environment Simulation

Procedure: Place the device in an environment with a temperature of ≥35°C or humidity of ≥80% for 1 hour, and observe any changes in the panel material. Touch the surface of the panel to check if it has deformed due to high temperature or produced fog due to dampness.


Investigation Points: Material Weather Resistance: Acrylic panels do not turn yellow or crack, and PC/ABS alloy panels do not soften or deform. Circuit Safety: The display screen shows no blurring or touch malfunctioning due to dampness.


2、Low Voltage Test (if applicable)

Procedure: Use an adjustable power supply to reduce the voltage to 90% of the device's rated voltage (e.g., from 220V to 198V) and observe whether the device operates normally.


Investigation Points: Voltage Compatibility: The device does not experience frequent restarts, abnormal alarms, or power fluctuations. Screen Brightness: The display content remains clear and discernible under low voltage conditions.

IV. Long-term Operation Stability Test

1、 Continuous operation test


Operation: Run the device continuously at medium wind speed for 24 hours, checking the panel temperature, noise, and functional status regularly during this period.


Investigation Points: 

Temperature Control: Panel surface temperature ≤ 45°C (no burning sensation when touched by hand). 

Noise Level: Noise within 1 meter of the device ≤ 50 dB (similar to a quiet conversation). 

Functional Durability: No malfunctioning buttons, display crashes or automatic mode switching, etc.


2、Filter Replacement Simulation

Operation: Manually trigger the filter replacement reminder (e.g., long press the filter reset button) and observe whether the panel accurately displays the remaining percentage of filter life.


Investigation Points: Sensor Accuracy: The error between the actual usage time of the filter screen and the value displayed on the panel is ≤5%. Prompt Logic: When the life of the filter screen expires, does the device force to stop running or restrict the use of high-speed wind?


V. Testing Tools and Records

1、Essential Tools

PM2.5 detector, formaldehyde detector, ultraviolet intensity test card, decibel meter, infrared thermometer, adjustable power supply (if needed).

Record Sheet: Record the test time, environmental conditions, test items and results for easy problem tracing.


2、Problem Handling Process

If any abnormality is found during the test (such as air leakage or touch failure), immediately cut off power and recheck the panel installation steps, focusing on troubleshooting the buckles, screws, sealing strips, and wiring connections.


When repeated testing still fails to resolve the issue, contact after-sales service and provide the test records to assist in locating the cause of the fault (such as motherboard damage or panel compatibility issues).
